Located across the street from UTC shopping center, Apollonia Greek Bistro offers diners authentic Greek cuisine. Upon entering, guests are greeted not only by a friendly hostess, but also by a very elegantly designed dining room. A variety of statues of Greek mythical figures line the walls, while a high ceiling and walls lined with murals of more mythology complete the décor. Seating is also available on the patio where diners can benefit from cushioned benches and the fresh breeze, making it the perfect place to enjoy lunch on a sunny afternoon. A long list of appetizers offers patrons a start to their meal, featuring options like Calamari, Hummos Dip with Pita Bread, and Fassoulia, a bean dish marinated in lemon juice and garlic. The menu also includes soups, salads, and sandwiches, all of Greek origin. However the real meat of the meal is to be found in the entrée section, with the Gyros Plate, Moussaka, and Riganato as popular options. Are you unfamiliar with Greek cuisine? Apollonia is one of my family's favorites! My twin brother and I, along with our family, eat there on our birthday every year. We both eat vegetarian and we eat exceptionally well. I've eaten non-vegetarian as well and you can't go wrong. Service is good, can occasionally be a little slow, but I never leave feeling it was bad. My favorites: > Briami > Falafel > Pastitsio > Skordalia > Greek Salad If you love Greek food, you'll enjoy this restaurant in the heart of Golden Triangle (near Bristol Farms).
