Rethinking Veal

Most people—like me—don’t eat veal because of the anxiety and self-loathing that comes from eating the succulent, pale flesh of a young cow. The white color itself isn’t what’s unappetizing for many; it’s how that white color is attained. Fortunately, smart farmers have begun selling “pink” veal, which is better (if you can get over the whole “eating-a-baby-animal” thing).

Craft Beer in a Can

When presented beer in a can, beer connoisseurs would usually turn their nose up in disgust. But many breweries are beginning to dispel this stereotype by offering craft beer in a can. National Public Radio online recently released an article saying that according to the National Brewers Association, 45 craft breweries nationwide have begun releasing their craft beers in cans.
