Exclusive Weekly & Monthly Banner Advertising Packages
Exclusive Advertising allows your banner advertisements to be the only banner ads displayed on San Diego Restaurants.com for the weekly or monthly time period your ad runs. As the Exclusive Advertiser, you will have the option to provide us with up to 5 ads. This ensures optimal exposure, as every single visitor to our site will only see your ads across every page on our website.
Pay per Impression Banner Advertising Packages
In addition to weekly and monthly packages, we offer the option of packages based on number of impressions, or page views. While this option does not allow you to determine the length of time your ad appears on our website, it offers a discounted price structure and often means more frequent displaying of your ad on a daily basis. Our dynamic ad delivery system runs your ad at maximum available frequency, placing your ad in all available banner slots until the number of impressions has been reached. This option is best if you want your ad to appear more frequently on our website but do not want to pay for exclusivity.

What options do you offer for banner advertising?
We offer two types of Banner Advertising Packages: pay per impression or per week/month. Furthermore, we offer an option for weekly or monthly advertisers to purchase our Exclusive Advertiser package, allowing advertisers to have their ads be the only ads that appear on our site for a certain period of time. Restaurant advertisers also have the option of purchasing text-only Link Ads. Please visit our Link Advertising page for more information on each of these packages.
Where will my banner ad be displayed?
All banner ads appear at the top of each page of our website, next to our logo. Simply click on any page of our website, including this page, to see where your banner ad will be.
What size will my banner ad be?
All of our banner ads are industry standard Leaderboard size, 728 pixels x 90 pixels.
Are your banner ads rotated or permanent?
All of our web pages are dynamic, which means that all banner ads are rotated across all pages on our website, rather than just appearing on one page. This means that your banner will appear on our home page, and every other page of our site, approximately one in every five page views, unless you are our Exclusive Advertiser for the week or month, in which case your ads will appear at the top of every page.
How frequently will my ad be displayed?
Weekly and monthly ads are displayed one in every 5 pages, while per impression ads are displayed at maximum available frequency in all available banner slots.
What are the approximate impressions my banner will get?
We estimate that Weekly Advertisements will receive approximately 50,000 impressions, and Monthly Advertisements will receive approximately 200,000 impressions. Exclusive Advertisements will receive approximately 250,000 impressions per week and 1,000,000 impressions per month.
How do I get started?
After you call or email us we will send you the terms of agreement form and request payment. As soon as we receive both, we will set up your account and provide you with your login information.
How do I pay for my ad?
Payments can be made with all major credit cards or with a check, and payment must be received prior to your ad running on our site.
How do I submit my banner ad to you?
Your online account will allow you to upload and manage your ads. You can also email us your banner if you prefer.
I don't have a banner, can I still advertise on your website?
Yes. If you don't have a banner already prepared, contact our advertising team and we can arrange to have a banner ad created for you.
Can I send you an animated banner ad?
Yes you can provide us with animated .GIF or Flash ads.
What specifications should I follow when preparing my banner ad?
All submitted banner ads should be sized at 728x90 pixels and should be in either .GIF, .JPEG, .PNG or .SWF file formats. Files should not exceed a file size of 50k. If you are preparing a Flash file, please be sure it is compatible with Flash versions 4-6.
Are there any content guidelines or restrictions for my ad?
Please be sure the text and images in your ad are clear and legible. We reserve the right to ask you to revise or replace your ad if we feel it is of poor quality or blurry. We require all ad content to be family safe and reserve the right to refuse any ads that we deem inappropriate or unacceptable. Additionally, we will not run any banner ads that contain phone numbers.
When will my ad run?
Your banner ad will run in the first available time slot after your payment is received, or during a time period of your choice.
How do I renew my ad campaign?
You may renew your ad campaign at any time through your online account. We will run your renewed campaign during our next available time slot, as all of our banner ads are sold on a first come first serve basis.
Do I have to pay when someone clicks on my banner ad?
No, there is no charge. All of our banner packages allow for an unlimited number of clicks.
How much traffic will my banner ads generate?
The amount of traffic is unpredictable, and depends on a number of factors including the quality of the banner ad itself. Many advertisers find banner advertising to be effective in increasing brand awareness and visibility, which sometimes is not reflected in the traffic an ad generates. If the traffic generated from your ad is a key factor in your campaign, we recommend our text-based Link Advertising.
Where do I see the statistics for my ad?
After your account is established we will send you a login and password to our online ad center, where you can manage your ads and view statistics on impressions and clicks.
