Title: Truluck's
Review:

We were not able to get our table on time because the other large parties that had come before us decided to sit and chat for several hours. The restaurant manager or owner (not sure) made up for it completely, however. They offered their private room (which we declined) and gave our party a free round of cocktails, as well as several complimentary appetizers (oysters, shrimp, crab claws) ready for us as we sat down. The waiter gave an excellent suggestion for wine, which complemented our meal very well. The entire meal was fantastic, and it was possibly the best seafood I've ever had.

Title: What a fun place!
Review:

This was the only 'chain' restaurant we went to on our trip. The food was great, service too. It was fun, fast and filling. Just what we needed after being on a plane for hours.

Title: Very romantic with great food
Review:

I wanted our last night in San Diego to be a bit romantic so I chose Italian. The restaurant was everything I had hoped for: dim lights, great wine selection, wonderful menu with lots of variety. Service was perfect as she didn't rush us on any course of the meal. The appetizers were hot and very fresh, main course had exceptional flavors and the desert was light and creamy. The owner/manager greated us at the door as we left to find out how our evening went. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Italian food.

Title: A bit hard to find but worth the trouble
Review:

The restaurant is located through the lobby of a hotel, which we didn't know, so finding the place took a phone call for directions. When we arrived we were a bit surprised at the size as it may only have had a dozen tables, all of which were full the entire time we were there (make reservations). Our server, Ashley, was very helpful with the menu, recommending appetizers and soup. The meal was presented on gleaming white plates that showed off the food perfectly. The unique flavors of the food made the entire meal one to remember. After our meal, we told Ashley how we had chosen the Firefly for our anniversary dinner (through sandiegorestaurants.com) and she asked us to wait for a moment. She brought out the head chef to meet us! What a surprise! It was a great dining experience for us and we would highly recommend this small restaurant to anyone who is in the area.

Title: Wonderful dining experience
Review:

This restaurant is a must for anyone in the area. The atmosphere was cozy but not too fancy. The food was almost indescribable; large portions with very distinctive flavors. The service was perfect from the hostess to meeting the manager, who felt our short wait was inexcusable and bought us one of our dinners. I ordered the pork porterhouse which was perfectly cooked with sauces and sides that had unusual combinations of flavors that I doubt I will every find again. The presentation of the food was wonderful. The noise level was a bit high but the place was packed with several parties standing in line for a table. I was glad we had made reservations. It was truly a unique dining experience and we will go back if ever in the San Diego area again.
