When we walked into the restaurant we were greeted with wonderful smells, many of the guests were speaking Italian. At that point, we smiled at each other and knew we were in the right place. The server provided the right balance of anticipating our needs yet did not hover. Each of us had a different entrée, all were superb and included: ravioli; saltimbocca; gnocchi; and risotto with sausage and artichokes. We ordered a bottle of Sangiovese which was well suited for our meals. We all ordered desert and enjoyed panna cotta, tiramisu, and cannenoli. The most unusual desert was ice cream that included a shot of espresso over the top. Finally, as advertised it is a neighborhood restaurant, comfortable and not pretentious. We will compare this dining experience and the food to all future Italian restaurants and are sure Caffe Bella Italia will come out on top. Thanks to the chef and the waiters for a great experience.
