Links appear throughout our website, in places such as the side bar on our home page, alongside restaurant reviews, or at the top of search results. Because this feature is only available for restaurants, it ensures that our targeted auduience will be interested in your link. The per click rate means you only pay for those who click through and rates as low at $0.25 a click translate to only $0.25 a customer.

What is Link Advertising?
Link advertising is a form of advertising where we place a link to your website. It is the most effective form of online advertising because it is based on a pay-per-click pricing structure, which means you only pay when a visitor clicks through to your website.
What options do you offer for link advertising?
We offer Link Advertising Packages exclusively to restaurants. In addition, we offer Banner advertising to both restaurants and other advertisers. Please visit our Banner Advertising page for more information on these packages.
What will my link ad look like?
Your ad will appear in different formats on different locations of our website, but essentially your ad will consist of a link to your website followed by several lines of text. On some sections of our website, link ads may be enhanced with a photograph of your choice.
Where will my link ad be displayed?
Your link ad will be displayed across many pages of our website. The most common place you will find your ad is in the Restaurant Links section of our sidebar, however your ad will also appear above relevant search results, or above or below content on other pages of our website. Our ad delivery system offers targeted ad delivery to match ads with the content of each page of our website.
What size will my link ad be?
You will be able to create two versions of your ad, one which is 80 characters long and the other which is 250 characters long. Different locations on our website will display the long or short version of your ad.
How frequently will my ad be displayed?
The frequency of your ad's appearance depends on the number of ads at any given time, and also on how often pages and search results that are relevant to your ad are viewed. Our ad distribution system rotates through all ads, filling all the ad slots on each page of our website. On some pages, such as our home page, slots are filled by equally rotating through all ads; on other pages, slots are filled from among relevant ads. For example, if a visitor searches for "Italian," our delivery system will most likely display ads from Italian restaurants on the search results page.
What happens when someone clicks on a link to my ad?
You will have pre paid for a certain number of clicks on your ad, so each time someone clicks on your ad it will be counted toward the total number of clicks you have paid for. Once this number of clicks has been reached, your ad will no longer appear on our website.
What happens if the same person clicks multiple times on my ad?
We only count one click per computer per 24-hour period, so this will not count toward the number of clicks your banner ad receives.
How long will my ad remain on your website?
Ads display on our website until the number of clicks on that ad reaches the number of clicks the advertiser paid for.
Can I renew my ad campaign?
Yes, you may renew your ad campaign quickly and easily at any time through your online account.
Why should I advertise with you as opposed to Google or Yahoo?
Good question! There are multiple reasons why advertising with us is more advantageous. First of all, we offer a set price, and equal distribution of ads among all advertisers. With most search engines, you are bidding for your ad and competing with other advertisers. Secondly, our audience is highly targeted, with visitors who are interested in dining in San Diego and who are likely to select a restaurant from our website. Finally, we only allow restaurants to display link ads on our site, not other businesses, ensuring higher visibility of your ad.
Do I have to be listed on your website in order to have a link?
No, you do not have to be listed on our website to advertise; however, we recommend that if you are considering advertising on our website you consider listing as well. Listings on our website significantly increase visibility, provide viewers with detailed information about your restaurant, and can also improve your click through ratio. If I am listed on your website, can my link ad appear alongside my restaurant profile?
Even better, we now offer an integrated restaurant link within the restaurant profile. Restaurants can simply login to their management account and enable this feature. Just like link ads, this option is available on a pay-per-click basis, except that we offer convenient monthly billing.
If restaurant is already listed on your website, why should I also create link ads?
There are many advantages to creating additional link ads on our website. Link ads provide your restaurant with greater visibility, as the ads will be displayed on pages on our site where your restaurant profile is not. Link ads also allow you to advertise special features about your restaurant, such as live music or special events. Additionally, when you sign up for link ads, the discounted link pricing structure applies to the link in your restaurant profile, meaning you will pay less for each click if you have this feature active.
How do I get started?
After you call or email us we will send you the terms of agreement form and request payment. As soon as we receive both, we will set up your account and provide you with your login information.
How do I pay for my ad?
Payments can be made with all major credit cards or with a check, and payment must be received prior to your ad running on our site.
How do I submit my link ad text to you?
Your online account will allow you to upload and manage your ads.
What specifications should I follow when preparing text for my link ad?
All ads have limited character lengths, so we encourage you to emphasize the most important information in the least amount of space possible.
What if there is more than one thing about my restaurant I want to advertise?
Our online account system allows you to create multiple ads at once. Our ad delivery system will randomly select from the ads you create when displaying your ad on our website.
Are there any content guidelines or restrictions for my ad?
We require all ad content to be family safe and reserve the right to refuse any ads that we deem inappropriate or unacceptable. Additionally, we will not run any ads that contain phone numbers.
When will my ad run?
Your link ad will begin to appear on our website immediately after you have uploaded your ad and your payment is received.
Where do I see the statistics for my ad?
After your account is established we will provide you with a login and password to our online ad center, where you can manage your ads and view statistics on impressions and clicks. Please note that while we gladly provide statistics for link advertisers, we do this as a courtesy and not an obligation. It is your responsibility as the advertiser to monitor the click-throughs received on your own website, as well as to ensure your website is functional to receive these click-throughs.
What happens if I have issues with my website and don't receive some of the click throughs?
As the advertiser, it is your responsibility to ensure the operation and accessibility of your own website. We cannot make any accommodations for websites that are not functional, even if the issue is temporary. Because we cannot monitor the functionality of every website in our link ads, all click-throughs shall be considered delivered when links are clicked on our website. We cannot be held liable for links that do not go through when the linked-to website is non-operational.
