Sante Ristorante

Sante excels at bringing the traditions and elegance of fine Italian dining to the La Jolla Area. Chef Emelio Bertoli’s delectable Northern Italian cuisine ranges from delightful treats, such as homemade paperdelle with a wild boar ragu, to reliable favorites, such as risotto di frutti di mare, a rich risotto with clams, mussels, shrimp and calamari. The Ocean Room is one of three restaurants at Jack’s La Jolla—an expansive empire of restaurants in downtown La Jolla. Less formal than Jack’s Dining Room, yet more so than Jack’s Grille, the Ocean Room offers fine dining with a twist. The menu lists a wide selection of steak and seafood, but asks diners to collaborate with the kitchen by selecting the sauces and sides to accompany their meals. The transformed space, which was once home to Fresh[er], now houses a contemporary neighborhood bistro with a back-to-basics approach.
