Review:

Went to Mille Fleurs for our anniversary and took a guest from Germany with us. We had the 7 course meal and it was very good. The cheese platter was good for american standards, but it didn't impress our guest from Europe. The wine was exellent and the waiters very friendly and helpful. We'll be back for sure!

Review:

An excellent venue for my fiance's twenty fifth birthday dinner. We were greeted by an enthusiastic staff with a degree of professionalism seldom seen even in fine dining. The service was only trumped by our meals, both created with obvious authenticity and care. The wine menu far surpassed my basic knowledge of fermented grapes, but the explanations following each choice reeled me back to a position from where I could make a deliberate selection. I have no doubt, however, that any of the waitstaff would have been fully competent to guide my decision had I been honest enough to ask for a compass.

Review: I went to Mille Fleurs during Restaurant Week with my boyfriend, and we were both more than pleased with the quality of the food and service. Each course (even my salad--and I'm not really a salad person!) was an experience in and of itself. The service was one of the best we have ever received. Our server was gracious, polite, informative, and kind. The atmosphere was intimate and romantic, despite being able to hear other tables' conversations. (Some of it was rather entertaining.) If you are looking for a restaurant for a special night out, Mille Fleurs is the place!

Review: We enjoyed our dining experience at Mille Fleurs. We could not have been treated better. Each dish was an artistic masterpiece inviting you to eat it. I would highly recommend Mille Fleurs for a very "Special" dinning experience.

Review: Well, here we are, at one of the "top 25 restaurants". So, what did I think? I will begin with the service. I have never seen such an array of fake friendliness (usually this comes hand-in-hand with the kind of tight smiles that leave a sliver of air-flow, just enough to whisper something as one passes). High-brow is one thing, but please, don't look me up and down when I enter your restaurant, not to mention keep staring as I pass, without a word . . . especially when I am accompanied by someone. You would expect that sort of behavior in a TGI Friday's, but not at a "top 25". When I ask for a meal suggestion, please do not assume I am ignorant and give me lesson on French Cuisine . . . I am only asking to be directed to the more popular, desirable selections. I am far from finished rapping on the service, but not to bore the audience, I will move onto the decor. BLAH! Review: My bf and I tried Mille Fleurs a few months ago and I have to say it was a great experience. The food was great and the service was excellent. A perfect date place to go if you'd like to impress that special someone. I give this place an A+ in service.

Review: I never tried french food in my life. I always viewed french food as eating snails and wierd stuff I normally wouldn't eat. I was amazed at this restaurant. The way they prepare the dishes at mille fleur are a true science. The french have preparing food down. They serve in perfectly portioned dishes and use sauces to add too a great flavor. I ordered a beef dish of some sort, it was excellent. Every bite was succulent and cooked too perfection. I've been to places in Miami that are well known for serving the best dishes, yet Mille fleur is still top on my list. The place is romantic and a bit expensive, get ready to shell out at least $200, it's worth it. The service is great, the food is great and I highly recommend this place.

Title: Bland Food for Old Rich Folks and Newbees

Review: I too am from the Bay Area and, wow, was I underwelmed. The restaurant is perfect for those that live in Rancho Sante Fe...if you know what I mean. I had the 7 course taster which seemed like most of it had been prepared way in advance...chilled Squab which killed the flavor, cavier dwarfed by creme fraiche, over cooked foie gras, overcooked lamb and the indignity of having to share a cheese plate between 4 and a most uninspring dessert...all for only $85 per person! Except for the price, I could have been back in the 80's with the overdone continental accents and the assumption that you know nothing about French food.

Review: My wife and I just moved here from the Bay Area and expected more from "the best restaurant in San Diego". The Service was outstanding. The atmosphere was cozy. The Food was OK, most of it rather bland. I really hope there are better fine dinning establishments!!!

Review: If you’re looking for a romantic dining experience, this is IT!! The service is great, the food is Great and the small, romantic feel is like an authentic French restaurant! This is the place to spend a night out with a loved one, get engaged, and celebrate any occasion. Good wine selection, and great chef selections! We have found a life long place to share special times together!
