Review:

Went to Mille Fleurs for our anniversary and took a guest from Germany with us. We had the 7 course meal and it was very good. The cheese platter was good for american standards, but it didn't impress our guest from Europe. The wine was exellent and the waiters very friendly and helpful. We'll be back for sure!

Review: My friend and I finally went there on his birthday dinner after being highly recommended by a good French friend of mine. Our reservation was 6:15 pm (a little bit early but it turned out good and wise). We had the special seven-course Chef-selected Friday menu with: fresh eel salad, sauteed frog leg with garlic, ahi, sorbet, antelope (juicy and tender), cheese, and chocolate dessert. Each course was very nicely presented and the food was uniquely delicious (some of them we have never had). The waiter was friendly and kind, and made pretty good wine suggestion. We liked the atmosphere inside the restaurant and enjoyed the conversation with the waiter about each course and learned something about French culture. The whole dinner was just such a pleasant life experience despite the price. We left around 9:30 pm - Yes! It took us about 3 hours to finish the seven-course meal. We were glad that we made an early reservation.

Review: My bf and I tried Mille Fleurs a few months ago and I have to say it was a great experience. The food was great and the service was excellent. A perfect date place to go if you'd like to impress that special someone. I give this place an A+ in service.

Review: We were really excited to try this place but it wasn't as good as we expected. The menu was limited and overpriced. I think you're just paying to eat in Rancho Santa Fe.

This restaurant was beautiful and the food was amazing. Its in a really quiet area and the ambience made it very cozy and was a perfect place to take my wife for a romantic evening. definitely recommending this restaurant.

Review: Twice in the past one month we've had awful service. We came back a second time to give it a re-try and were let down. The food/menu is excellent, don't get me wrong. Each episode got us free drinks, desserts, etc. If you want freebies and don't mind getting frustrated. Go. I want great food AND service. I called to complain and was told it was a low volume kitchen! Come on. If you can't handle a slow Sunday night, you shouldn't be in the business.

Review: If you’re looking for a romantic dining experience, this is IT!! The service is great, the food is Great and the small, romantic feel is like an authentic French restaurant! This is the place to spend a night out with a loved one, get engaged, and celebrate any occasion. Good wine selection, and great chef selections! We have found a life long place to share special times together!

Review: It was a bit sketchy to get to since our reservation was at night and there are hardly any lights on the twisty road to the restaurant, but it was worth it. The waiter was friendly and had good suggestions for wine and food. We started with a salad with duck. The duck was warm and flavorful and the greens were lightly flavored in a complimentary fashion. My boyfriend had the Weiner Schnitzle. He liked that the plate wasn't cluttered with fillers. I had the grilled ahi...I enjoyed my fillers and the food seemed to really bring out the elements of the main ingredients. The dessert was fantastic. He had vanilla with fruit and I had the sorbet with fruit. We were rather impressed by the presentation, freshness, and flavor. We've already decided to go again. Four thumbs up.

Review: I went to Mille Fleurs during Restaurant Week with my boyfriend, and we were both more than pleased with the quality of the food and service. Each course (even my salad--and I'm not really a salad person!) was an experience in and of itself. The service was one of the best we have ever received. Our server was gracious, polite, informative, and kind. The atmosphere was intimate and romantic, despite being able to hear other tables' conversations. (Some of it was rather entertaining.) If you are looking for a restaurant for a special night out, Mille Fleurs is the place!

Review:

For anyone who is looking for a romantic quiet restaurant that you and your special someone would like, this would be the place to go, but I would like to add that the food is a bit pricey if that's okay with you. I'm all about the food, so I would rate the food as being an 8 or an 9, 10 being the highest. The food selection was limited, but you have three entrees, salad or soup first, main dish second, and your desert to finish. Just to add a little, if you would like flowers arranged for you, there is a flower shop next door you can call to and have the arranged for you in the restaurant.
