Title: A Non Drinker's Review - Review: We had a gift certificate, so that is why we originally went to Thee Bungalow. It was probably the best steak, we had the filet min., that my wife had ever tasted, especially in the mushroom sauce. She also loved the vegetables. The dessert was even better; except they charged us 50 cents more than they should have; didnt notice til we got home. My wife had the lemon napoleon and I had the cream puffs with ice cream and choc sauce. It was a lovely setting and because we made online reservations, we wera able to be seated almost right away. I think my wife will want to go back here for her birthday in Sept; maybe even get her dad to go with us. Since we dont drink, we cant rate the wine, but the water was great and the waiter was right there to pour us more water and give us fresh, crusty bread. The soup was red chili pepper soup and it was fantastic. My wife said she almost had another bowl for dessert. The portions were sufficient , in fact, we had to take a little bit of the steak ho ... Title: Absolutely Wonderful! - Review: My wife and I dined here for our 4th wedding anniversary. The decor is so-so, but the food and the attention from waiters is great. We both had the escargot for an appetizer and it was perhaps the best I've tasted. The caesar salad was a surprise as it looked like three uncut leaves of romaine, but still crisp and fresh nonetheless. We then each ate the duck and it was very tender and delicious. For desert, I had the sorbet and she had the chocolate mousse. We also had wine, of course. All in all, for $150 bucks, it was a wonderful experience. We definitely plan on returning here again when we next want to eat great cuisine.

Title: Best Meal in California - Review: I recently went on an 'eating' trip to California. Living in the New York area, we often go to New York to try a new restaurant or simply go to some of our favorites. We started out in San Francisco where we were excited to be having lunch at Alice Water's restaurant, Chez Panisse. The food was delicious although we realized that much of what we paid for was 'The Alice Water's Experience'. We then went down to San Diego and had dinner at Thee Bungalow. It too was highly anticipated as friends had referred to it as 'a hidden gem'. What we had not expected was to have the best meal we have had in years! We were delighted to find that as part of the menu, there was a special Julia and Julie menu. Two of us had Julia Child's Boeuf Bourguignon , From the regular menu the scallops, and one the duck. Desserts were of the same high caliber and the wine choices extensive. Chef Paul was kind enough to come out and speak to us and we found the wait staff friendly and extremely professional. This ... Title: Fantastically charming with an inspired menu - Review: You fall in love with the simple elegance and welcoming atmosphere as soon as you walk in the door. The staff is at once courteous, hospitible and engaging. They seemed to always be ready with a flawless suggestion for wine pairings or a quick witted joke, whichever was applicable. The food was presented beautifully and the flavors were captured remarkably. All in all I can't think of a single facet of the meal that i could detract from our overall enjoyment of the experience. Well done.

Title: Go for Early bird! - Review: This is a nice small place, especially if you are a wine lover. They have an extensive wine list. The menu is a bit pricey, but they do have posh dishes such as escargot and veal sweetbreads. The early bird menu is significantly cheaper and includes bread and salad. I had the chicken stuffed with asparagus, ham and cheese. My companion ordered the salmon and really enjoyed it, but not the side dishes-creamed spinach, mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. The vegetables were an interesting mix of celery, peppers, squash and some other things. The bread was good
