Title: Old Favorite -
Review:
Thee Bungalow has been around forever, long before Cohn bought it. It's a funny combination of OB casual combined with pricey food items. A good way to eat well without having to dress up too much or put on airs. The duck is famous. OB is limited on white tablecloth restaurants, so it's a treat. Walking distance to the beach, too, for an after-dinner stroll.

Title: Absolutely Wonderful! - Review: My wife and I dined here for our 4th wedding anniversary. The decor is so-so, but the food and the attention from waiters is great. We both had the escargot for an appetizer and it was perhaps the best I've tasted. The caesar salad was a surprise as it looked like three uncut leaves of romaine, but still crisp and fresh nonetheless. We then each ate the duck and it was very tender and delicious. For desert, I had the sorbet and she had the chocolate mousse. We also had wine, of course. All in all, for $150 bucks, it was a wonderful experience. We definitely plan on returning here again when we next want to eat great cuisine.

Title: Our first visit to Thee Bungalow -
Review:
I've been hearing about "Thee Bungalow" for years and we finally managed to go. I was not disappointed in the meal or the service, but it wasn't quite as "cozy" as I had imagined. A little too crowded to feel intimate -- however, we may have been in one of the smaller rooms. Overall we loved our experience and definitely plan to go back.

Title: Great food better wines - Review: Six of us enjoyed an excellent dinner, excellent wines and great service. The opening brie with asparagus in puff pastry was creamy and delicious -- outstanding with a sparkling Argyle Brut. The Patricia Green Oregon Pinot Noir was excellent with my Wild Salmon and artichoke salsa and with my wife's roast duck, a genuine Bungolow specialty. We split one chocolate souffle and one orange liqueur souffle six ways -- it was plenty! Definitely a five-star experience.

Title: Go for Early bird! - Review: This is a nice small place, especially if you are a wine lover. They have an extensive wine list. The menu is a bit pricey, but they do have posh dishes such as escargot and veal sweetbreads. The early bird menu is significantly cheaper and includes bread and salad. I had the chicken stuffed with asparagus, ham and cheese. My companion ordered the salmon and really enjoyed it, but not the side dishes-creamed spinach, mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. The vegetables were an interesting mix of celery, peppers, squash and some other things. The bread was good

Title: Best Meal in California - Review: I recently went on an 'eating' trip to California. Living in the New York area, we often go to New York to try a new restaurant or simply go to some of our favorites. We started out in San Francisco where we were excited to be having lunch at Alice Water's restaurant, Chez Panisse. The food was delicious although we realized that much of what we paid for was 'The Alice Water's Experience'. We then went down to San Diego and had dinner at Thee Bungalow. It too was highly anticipated as friends had referred to it as 'a hidden gem'. What we had not expected was to have the best meal we have had in years! We were delighted to find that as part of the menu, there was a special Julia and Julie menu. Two of us had Julia Child's Boeuf Bourguignon , From the regular menu the scallops, and one the duck. Desserts were of the same high caliber and the wine choices extensive. Chef Paul was kind enough to come out and speak to us and we found the wait staff friendly and extremely professional. This ...
