Having grown up in the heart of San Francisco, I was surrounded by amazing restaurants and was fortunate to begin experiencing a variety of cuisines from around the world at an early age. As a journalist and the daughter of a pastry chef, writing about cuisine was a suitable path.

- Dining at the Sky Room at the Valencia Hotel with my husband on our Anniversary. The abalone immediately caught my eye. Was absolutely fabulous! I also couldn't resist trying a glass of the Far Niente Chardonnay. It was a $28 glass of heaven.
