      great dancin w/ annie place!!

me 'n' my gal annie bendini danced the night away after savoring some dee-lish--ous pizza and ice cold brewskis. we had a blast with the old 1980s disco. fellow dancers and diners were most friendly and we felt right at home. at the end of the night we did go home -- well actually, it was a hotel --- and we had a little tommie/annie love of our own, if you know what i mean, and i'm sure you do. would definitely recommend this to our friends!!

      A Masterpiece!

      Love Jimmy Love's!

I was surprised to read such negative reviews of this restaurant. I've had the opportunity to visit Jimmy Love's twice in the last two years, and coming from Texas that's not easy to do, but both visits were superb! Service has already been pretty standard, but go while the live music is hopping and you don't notice any extra wait. The food was delicious, wine selection good enough for someone w/just enough knowledge and the best desert I've ever had. In fact, the reason I'm posting a review is because I was looking for the desert recipe and when I found such negative reviews, I wanted to add my two cents. I've never thought of a single penny as wasted at this restaurant and will frequent again next time in S.D.

      Great Food..Great Music!

Jimmy's is one of my favorite places to go to in downtown SD. My friends and I will have a late dinner and stay the rest of the night! Everytime I have been they have had great live music and the dance floor is always poppin!

      i agree with tommie/annie !

hi -- this is Shirley, housekeeper at Bahia Resort. i can certainly attest to and agree with the tommie/annie review of jimmy love's. my, my, my, the fun they had that night, well, let me put it this way, an eleven on a scale of ten, that's for sure. i bet to this day, they still daydream about their special night together...

      Tommie/Annie Love's

this is Mooosie -- From what tommie and annie have told me, this is the place for a great time, huggin' and dancin' adn a little bit of drinkin to get the spirits movin. these two kids sure had a blast that night. me, well, i was left at home. oh well...

      Moosie again!!

it's me, Mooosie--- i just wanted to tell you all once again that Jimmy/Annie/Tommie/Mooosie Love's is the best! What a great place for Moosie/Annie/Tommie love! Great memories of a lifetime, that's for sure. Can't wait to do it again, sometime, someplace--if the stars in the proper alignment and the boy and girl hop on that train and cruise away from it all....

      Loved the Live Jazz

My husband and I happend on Jimmy Love's while walking by and the jazz music caught our attention so we decided to give it a try. We both loved our meal and the live music made it that much better.

      Food needs attention

Loved the vibe, the atmosphere, the staff and the room. The food was ho-hum which was a major bummer since it sounded like it was going to be great. I hope I caught this place on an off night but I fear the food needs attention. My fish was overcooked.

      Pass on this place!

We frequent downtown and have tried Jimmy Love's four times over a two year period and last week was our last try. The attitude of most everyone is consistently poor - only the bartenders seem to have any appreciation of the customers. Last week our food was repeatedly incorrect - one order had several dark hairs on it - and asked to talk to the owner (who had been by the table next to us to chat with some friends) and were told he did not have time becuase he needed to get out to a baseball game. There are many other places with good food that will give you the correct order and appreciate your business.

      Worst Service in Town

This is the first time that I am ever submitting a review but it is for all of those that are thinking of dining at Jimmy Love's. The service was the worst that I have ever experienced! After we were seated, it took over 20 minutes for our waitress to make her first introduction and take our drink orders. It took another 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive and we had to ask the busboy for water and and a bread basket during the interim. One of the dinner orders ended up being incorrect as well as a few drink orders on the second round. I would chalk this experience up as a fluke but all of the other tables around us being serviced by other waiters received the same horrible service and we were all actually talking about it. The only two bright spots were that the food was excellent (steaks) and the busboy (Shay) ran interference and kept all of the patrons semi-happy. Tip - Order drinks, apps and entres all at the same time when you sit down. Be prepared for a 2.5 hour dinner if the service is horrible.
