A true Star
From the lovely view of the Star of India to the twinkling lights of the bay, the Star of the Sea has a magical aura. Considering that so many waterfront restaurants nationwide are tourist traps it's a rare to fine one that takes it's food and service as seriously as the location. A "must" go when in San Diego

I felt like a movie star eating here! Really, it was out of my league, but I hope to go again someday.
LOVE IT
WOW, I loved this place, we spent almost $200 and it was only my hubby and I. we were treated wonderfully, and the food, my godness I can't not even explain. A little small but to be expected in a expensive restaurant!
"Star of the Sea" no longer exists
The "Star of the Sea", which was once San Diego's loveliest and finest seafood restaurant, no longer exists. One side of it has been converted to an Anthony's, which is San Diego's original and best family seafood restaurant chain. Anthony's has good food and a nice location, but it no longer has the upscale ambiance and superb service that Star of the Sea was famous for. (Anthony's owned it then too.) The other half of the restaurant is now a facility for private parties.
