Sushi Bar Nippon

sushi bar nippon has been downtown for nearly 20 years and that fact attests to it's quality and loyal clientele. they had our reservation and seated us immediately.we ate exclusively sushi and sashimi, as that was all they offered, which were of the freshest and finest quality and of outstanding presentation. the eel melted in our mouths and was as sweet as ice cream. the "big mac" was as good as i remembered and the dessert plate whith plum wine was unparalleled. the service was gracious and attentative and we were encouraged to dine at our leisure, which we did. the cost compared to the quality is quite inexpensive. this will now be our regular restaurant for us and our friends. Go! Go! Go!

Whenever we visit San Diego we always dine at Nippon. Always friendly and inviting. Sushi very good quality. More traditional and respectful then other sushi places in the area such as taka.

I ate here on a quiet Wednesday night. The fish was very fresh and flavorful. The house hot sake was perfect for the cool night outside. I definetely recommend this place for a nice sushi meal.
