Wonderful dinner experience
The atmosphere is very romantic, the food tastes great, the prices are unbelievable, and the presentation is so beautiful, you are tempted not to mess it up. The people and the service are one of a kind as well. I will tell people about this place with no hesitation and definitely come back again. Very soon!

Best Italian Restauran in San Diego
My wife and had dinner last night. It has been the BEST italian dinner in year. The dinning room is small but really elegant. I will bring my wife back for our anniversary. Best of Luck to the owners

This small restaurant tucked away on Adams Ave has a wonderful ambiance, outstanding service, and very delicious food. A quiet get away, kind of romantic and a wonderful wine list. The mini crab cake appetizer with arugala was my favorite!
The best Italian food I've had in San Deigo
Recently I took my boyfriend to Zio's for his birthday. I found it on the website and took a chance with solely basing my judgement on the reviews. I was a little worried becasue he is a chef and we can be pretty critical of places. We arrivied and it met all if not beyond our expectations. We eat out quite often and this was the best service that I have received. Because of the size of the dining room the service was able to be promp and right on top of everything. The food was amazing as well. I come from a strong sicilian background and this was far better than anything I've ever had out. We had a few Italian beers and an app. (fried calimari), as well as a rosemerry pasta dish and noki. The food came out piping hot, and very quickly. This is a place that is our top favorite. They will have my business for many years!
Best Dinner in Years
I have to tell all about my experience at Zio Mario's over this weekend, it has been the best italian meal i have had in year. Their low carb pastas are as great as their regular pastas, I did not notice any difference. The service was supperb. New Decoration it's great. Congratulations to the owners. Keep up the good work. I will tell every one of my friends to visit you. Thank you for a great dinner. See you next week
Just one word IMPRESSED
Just thought to let you all know about my experience last night at this restaurant. I come from an Italian Family and we are used to dine at the very best restaurant. A friend of mine recommended me this place. It reminded me about my summers with Nanna in Florence. My boyfriend and his family where really excited to have founded this place. It’s out of regular area for great restaurants but it’s worth the drive. We meet the owner he’s there all nights serving and helping people. Great service. Just one word can describe this IMPRESSED.
OVER-RATED
Food was good, not great. Domenic's in Poway in much better than this...just go try their Ravioli Bolognese. Best in San Diego!

My food was very good, my wife didn't really like her meal. The menu had limited choices. I would eat here again! Warm environment just sucks you in.
Average
Food was average. I expected much more because of the review on this site. The location was odd. Located at around residential homes and it was very dark. Other than that, the experience at Zio Mario's was okay. Food I ordered was bland. Atmosphere was very cute. Very intimate setting. Waiter was a being a good sport with my jokes.
