Zorba’s boasts the Greek atmosphere and the food really walks the talk about how much of the culture the restaurant tries to incorporate into their culinary services. Voted the ‘best Greek restaurant in San Diego’ for five years, it is no wonder why this place is so popular. One reason patrons enjoy this so much is that it offers a full buffet with tons of meat and vegetable options. Plus, there’s live entertainment in dancing to authentic Greek music that only occur during the evening. Each buffet grouping has something different so multiple visits are encouraged to experience everything that Zorba’s has to offer.
I have lived in Chula Vista for four years. When I first started going to Zorbas it was excellent. For the past year it has steadly declined and even had a B rating by the health department at one time. The last two times I ordered a greek salad to go the lettuce on the bottom was brown and wilted. This obviously has to have been done on purpose since the wilted lettuce was on the bottom. They used to have a much larger selection at the buffet and have cheaped out on their pasteries. They now make baklava out of peanuts only. I will never go back there again.
