Whisknladle Restaurant
Restaurant Review
The new project of Arturo Kassel and Ryan Johnston, Whisknladle, is one of the most honest, down-to-earth, and genuine restaurants around. The transformed space, which was once home to Fresh[er], now houses a contemporary neighborhood bistro with a back-to-basics approach. Johnston’s menu celebrates local sources, house-made provisions, and traditional preparations, while Kassel’s wine list, as before, is focused on quality and diversity. Guests will find small plates, seasonal creations, and a truly welcoming space that now boasts an after-hours lounge as a casual nightlife destination.

Title: | For me - average! |
With a group of 4, unfortunately, I was the least impressed. I enjoyed the location and the setting of the restaurant, very nice! From there, it was a bit average. Our waitress seemed a bit "preoccupied". We were brought a wine list that was empty, no info inside. After the table ordered its 2nd beverage, mine came :10 later, and I only ordered a bottle of beer! Others in my party seemed to enjoy their fare, were I had the bolognese, really quite average. The pasta was cooked to perfection, however, the bolognese seemed "dry" and tasteless. Besides the friends, the evening was quite disappointing! Sorry!
